Our Community.
The Building Bridges began our humble journey in the Year 2009 as a group of friends who shared a common interest in mountain climbing adventure. We then discovered a passion for doing humanitarian charity work both locally and internationally.
Our volunteers include a wide variety of people from many facets of the community, coming in with different skill sets to serve the community.
Over the years the team has cultivated a sense of altruism to help people that are disadvantaged and challenged.
We believe that every small action that we bring are catalytic in bringing positive changes for a better future.
Past Causes
Below are some events and activities which we have participated in since the inception of this organization. Some of them include, but not limited to, raising funds and purchasing daily necessities to support the local needy, rendering and funding overseas missions such as the painting of schools in remote villages, supporting our foreign workers during the trying period of Covid19 and many more.
Donations In Ramadhan
This has been a significant yearly act. Received funds and donated goods will be channeled to the relevant beneficiaries accordingly.
Flea Market
Raising of funds can take many forms. One of which was selling of personal used items and goods at a flea market in East Coast.
Island of Lombok
One of our desires was to help those in faraway places, such as this at Lombok, Indonesia. Other than giving of funds and donated goods, we have also painted the school and interacted with the kids.
Support During Covid-19
2020 has been a trying year for all. In Singapore, we have assisted the affected dormitory workers by donating food, clothes, and other essentials.
Overseas Causes
When there are opportunities and extra capacities, we will render and transfer funds to beneficiaries of other nations such as orphanages in Batam.
Adhoc Assistance
There are occasions when families are facing difficult moments in their life. A small token of assistance is what they need and we will assist accordingly where possible.
Volunteer With Us
Volunteering offers the chance to give something back. For others, it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or experience. Regardless, what unites them all is that they find it rewarding.
